Prince William sees his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton, as a “second mum” who might represent the “maternal figure he’s lacked”, says an NHS psychiatrist.

Max Pemberton, who also writes columns, suggests that Carole could offer him a “glimpse” of the “normal life.

Many women would have sympathised with Carole’s shoe mishap, but it was “lovely” that her son-in-law helped her out, said Max, reports the Express.
