Husband of the year.
Scarlett Johansson joked that her prenup with husband Colin Jost is the reason why he made a cameo in her new movie โFly Me to the Moon.โ
โGreg Berlanti was our director. [Heโs] a huge fan of Colinโs,โ the Marvel actress, 39, said on Mondayโs episode of โThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonโ when discussing Jostโs cameo.
โColin โฆ I think he had to do it โcause itโs, like, in our prenuptial agreement,โ Johansson joked. โIf I ask him to do something, he has to be there to support me. He has to be in every one of my films.โ
โI run lines with him,โ she shared. โWhich is great. Youโd think that would be very convenient because you have a partner there to help you out.ย
You learn your lines for tomorrow or whatever. He does, like, real serious โฆ he really commits to the line reading.โ
She continued: โItโs not always the performance I want it to be. Iโm just like, โSay the lines!โ Big dramatic pauses. He gets really into it. Iโm like, โI canโt focus. Forget it. Iโll just learn them myself.โ
โHeโs great,โ Johansson added about her husband. โHeโs so funny and off-the-cuff and charming and great.โ
The couple met in 2017 when Johansson hosted an episode of โSaturday Night Live.โ Jost has worked on the sketch comedy show since 2005.
They got married in 2020 and welcomed their son, Cosmo, the following year.
Johansson also has a 9-year-old daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to French journalist Romain Dauriac.
While Johansson is busy promoting โFly Me to the Moon,โ Jost is preparing to travel to Tahiti to cover the surfing competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics for NBC.
The โBlack Widowโ star discussed her husbandโs new gig on Mondayโs episode of โToday.โ
โEven Iโm like, โHow did you get this gig?โ I just want to know,โ she said in the interview with Savannah Guthrie.
โWhen they announced the Paris Olympics, he immediately found out that the surf competition [is] in Tahiti, which is so cool. He loves to surf, we have a place in Montauk, heโs always out there surfing,โ Johansson continued. โSomehow the dream became a reality, and now heโs going to be in Tahiti for two weeks. Iโm like, โPoor you.โโ
She quipped: โI think if you can have a piรฑa colada on air while youโre working, itโs not technically work.โ
