Ruth Langsford treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at her recent glow-up as she shrugs off her divorce – but fans all had one thing to say about it.

New hair new me is what’s going through Ruth Langsford’s mind right now as she moves on from her former husband Eamonn Holmes.

The Loose Women presenter took to Instagram on Wednesday to bring fans along to her hair appointment.

Ruth, 64, beamed as she sat in the hot seat to undergo her transformation with the help of hair specialist Lauren Houghton.

The clip began with Ruth filming herself in the hairdresser’s chair as she rocked a set of long blonde hair extensions that fell down to her chest.

She then showed Lauren attaching the blonde pieces of hair extensions onto her real hair as Ruth’s new do began to take shape.

“Had my extensions renewed @leobancroft salon …..” Ruth explained in the caption. “I don’t have them for length, just for extra volume after my hair got thinner in menopause.

“These are so tiny I hardly feel I have them in….but really notice the difference when I don’t! Thanks as always @laurenhoughtonhair for your expertise and the laughs! ?????? #hairextensions #leobancroftsalon.”

While the TV star insisted she doesn’t have extensions installed for length, fans made it known that they think she should.

One fan @lucyalexandertv taunted Ruth, writing: “Dare you to leave them long … ruthylonglocks.”

With @gorman7190 agreeing: “I second that!!!,” as @jillwitheford suggested: “Now you’re single and still gorgeous why not try a new hairstyle…”

A fourth user @55annalisa echoed: “Why not go longer your not too old Ruth,” and @lord_ladyviggers penned: “You should have your hair long again like your TSW days. Beautiful lady.”

While @tracy_tranquil_nails_ pointed out: “She’s had her hair done she looks very happy.”

Ruth’s makeover comes just weeks after she and Eamonn announced they were getting divorced after 14 years of marriage.
