Michael J. Fox is a star onscreen and on the stage!
The โBack to the Futureโ actor made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury Festival Saturday by joining Coldplay onstage during the bandโs set.
Fox, 63, who has been diagnosed with Parkinsonโs disease since 1991, was in his wheelchair onstage playing guitar
ย during the bandโs performance of their hits, โHumandkindโ and โFix You.
โFollowing the performance, the bandโs frontman Chris Martin gave Fox a sweet shoutout, crediting the actor for being the inspiration behind the bandโs music career.
โThe main reason why weโre in a band is because of watching โBack to the Future,โโ the Martin said.ย

Fox played the role of teenager Marty McFly in the 1985 film. Martin introduced Fox to the Glastonbury audience by referencing his character in the movie.

Fox retired from acting in 2020 due to the progression of his Parkinsonโs disease.
