In Meghanโs retelling however, one body language expert said that her exaggerated gesture left Harry โuncomfortableโ.
On the curtsey, Prince Harry told Netflix: โHow do you explain that to people?โฆ Especially to an American.โ Meghan added: โIโm starting to realise this is a big dealโ and described it as โmedievalโ.
Meghan then went on to reinact the specific moment, she performed an elborate curtsy and through laughter said: โPleasure to meet you, Your Majesty.โ
Body language expert Judi James, described Harry as uncomfortable and told sources that โMeghan is a natural speaker during thr interview and here she sits talkingโฆ in a gossipy styleโ.
Her self effacing joke lead to a one-sided smile towards an awkward looking Prince Harry.
According to Judi, Harry then tilts his head to the side in a โcut offโ gesture to Meghan.
Throughout the series, Meghan repeatedly mentions her shock at the consistent formality within the family and recalls when she first met Kate over dinner she wore ripped jeans, was barefoot and realised that hugging is โreally jarring for a lot of Britsโ.
Meghan said she was expecting moments when the door closed and โyou can relaxโ, but found the formality carried over on both sides.
The documentary was released after the couple split from the Meghan and Harry stepped down as working royals in January 2020.
It followed a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the couple said a member of the royal family raised questions over Archieโs skin colour.
