Meghan Markle is feeling โregretfulโ over the ongoing royal rift, according to a report.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, reportedly โwants to make peaceโ with Kate Middleton despite โgenuinely feeling hurtโ over the feud.
The โSuitsโ alum last saw the Princess of Wales, 42, at Queen Elizabeth IIโs funeral in September 2022, and has not returned to London since.
Despite not seeing Princess Kate following the news of her cancer diagnosis, insiders claim that Markle is ready to bury the hatchet once and for all.
โShe wants to make peace with Kate. She doesnโt want any bad blood between them,โ a source told In Touch.
โMeghanโs friends say she regrets how things went down and she never meant any harm to Kate. Though she must realize she couldโve done things differently.โ
โMeghanโs been going out of her way to show concern for Kate in this difficult time,โ the insider added.
Markle is still reportedly picking up the pieces following the royal rift between both camps.
โ[Prince] Harry is more willing to move on, letโs just say that,โ a source told the Express last week, adding that the mom of two would still like to talk things through with the Windsor clan.
โItโs not a case of Meghan being difficult, she genuinely feels hurt and would like some kind of sit-down to hash things through โ but thatโs not something the other side is willing to consider at this time,โ the insider added.
Despite Markleโs rumored desire to reconnect with the Firm, it seems as though hopes of a reconciliation are far-fetched at this time.
According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles, โtoo much damageโ has been done for things to go back to how they were.
โ[Harry] caused damage and broke down trust,โ Harrold exclusively told The Post. โItโs difficult when youโre a future monarch.โ
Soon after moving to Montecito, California, the duo signed up for a series of tell-all projects, each of which revealed bombshell details about the ongoing rift between the two camps.
After sitting down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle and Harry went on to release their six-part Netflix documentary.
Unsurprisingly, the lucrative projects have done them no favors in repairing their relationship with the royal relatives.
According to Harrold, the only way the Sussexes can get let back into the royal fold is if Harry releases a public apology for all the hurt that was caused by his protocol-shattering memoir, โSpare.โ
Despite that, a royal expert has claimed that Harry will be looking to publish his second memoir once his estranged brother, Prince William, assumes the throne currently occupied by dad King Charles III.
