On Good Morning Britain with Adil Ray, she mentioned, โNot everyoneโs a footy fanโฆ Iโm feeling emotional this morning, partly due to the football and also because of a severe eye infection.โ
โSo Iโm wearing my rose-tinted spectacles, so I can see everybody!โ
Adil commented: โI thought you were getting emotional about the game?โ
โThereโs an element of that too!โ Kate hit back. โWhen I look through these spectacles I see a win!
โTheyโre rose-tinted and I see a win and Iโm manifesting it! I think we should all just embrace something to be joyous about.โ

GMB viewers had been quick to point out her sore eyes, with one posting on social media: โIs Kate ok? Her eyes donโt look right ?#GMB.โ

It comes after Kate admitted she was โbarely holding it togetherโ as she told Closer: โIโm just at that early stage at the moment of coming out of grief.

Kate is trying to focus on celebrating life and supporting her two children Darcey and Billy, adding: โIโm very much celebrating life now, whatever the age. I donโt know whether Iโll do a party yet. Derek passed away so recently so itโs just one step at a time.โ
