Glastonbury festivalgoers were stunned on Saturday as they watched Camila Cabello put on a very racy performance with ice lollies.ย
The singer, 27, who rose to prominence as a member of the pop girl group Fifth Harmony, sent temperatures soaring as she took to the stage in a busty top and hot pants.ย
However, her performance left festivalgoers hot under the collar as she put on a provocative display with ice lollies.ย
As she took to the stage in the raunchy ensemble, one of Camilaโs backup dancers, who was dressed as an animal, could be seen rubbing an ice lolly all over the starโs body.ย
One shocked festivalgoer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say: โSafe to say Camila wonโt be gaining a new fan because what am I actually watching.โ;
โI wish someone could show me what my face looked like during Camila Cabelloโs opening song at Glastonbury because I was genuinely baffled.โ
It comes after the star opened up about how her early 20โs were a โnightmare and a hellholeโ as she prepares to release her fourth studio album.ย
The American singer found fame aged just 15 as part of Fifth Harmony on The X Factor US, before going solo four years later.
But it would seem that her early years as a solo artist were challenging, as she told The Times on Thursday.
โYour early twenties are just a f***ing sh** show and a nightmare and a hellhole โ at least for me,โ she said.
The Shameless hitmakerโs new album C,XOXO was released on Friday โ and she has said it is focused on leaving those difficult years behind.ย
She said: โC,XOXO is finally letting go of that. Now that Iโm not feeling so heavy and mentally burdened, I can actually have some f***ing fun and have long nails and dance and flirt.โ
The record, produced by El Guincho and Jasper Harris, was inspired by the โeclectic rhythms and sounds of her hometown.โย
Song I LUV IT was dropped in March as the lead single from C,XOXO, which is her fourth studio album as a solo artist.ย
In the track, she sang to a lover: โKiss me hard โ someday, youโll miss this meteor shower in your power, seeinโ stars, oh my Godโฆ.โ
Camila released a statement accompanying the single, shedding light on how the turbulence in her own love life bled into the lyrics.
โCertain things in our human realm do make me feel like Iโm in outer space, and the very rare few times where Iโve had incredible chemistry with someone is one of them,โ the Cinderella actress spilled.
โPart of that cocktail is also the emotional drama between you and that person, and the chaos and butterflies and nerves and passion,โ she confessed. โItโs unsustainable and not peaceful and exhausting, but also, I LUV IT.โย
Earlier this month the Cuban born singer told Billboard she wants the world to become โmore lovingโ over time.ย
She said: โHopefully when Iโm no longer here, I want the legacy I leave behind to make the world, somehow, more loving.ย
โThereโs different ways of doing that, through art and music, and I always try to keep myself accountable,โ she said.
Camila, who comes from a working-class family-of-four, said she hopes to see society value hard work and effort.
โIโm so proud of my family history, and proud of my work ethics, and any sort of strength or drive that I have is from hearing their stories, she gushed.
โI really feel that I come from a family of fu***ing hustlers. My mom and dad never lost that, and even my grandparents.
โI feel that so much of that is carried in my bloodline. Thereโs something carried in our story that I feel makes me handle life and look at life in a different way,โ she finished.
2024 is set to be a big year for the Seรฑorita singer as she accepted the Global Impact award at the Billboard Latin Women in Music event on June 9.
โWhat strikes me the most is how sincere, hard-working, and caring she is as a human being,โ the starletโs manager Roger Gold gushed.
โCamila really absorbed that from her family, from her upbringing, from her journey to The United States. She grew up very, very humbling,โ he said.
