Ruth Langsford put on a brave face as she went on a dog walk amid rumours sheโs set to open up about her divorce from Eamonn Holmes next week on Loose Women.
Ruth, 64, looked chic in a bright white v-neck jumper that she paired with leggings and trainers as she took her dog Maggie on a walk in London.
The star flashed a brief smile to the cameras as she made her first public appearance since reports emerged that Eamonn had grown close to a female friend.
Ruth and Eamonn, 64, revealed they were parting ways after 27 years together in May earlier this year.
A spokesperson confirmed at the time: โRuth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.โ
Months on from the split it now appears the star is ready to break her silence on their break up as she returns to presenting duties on Loose Women next week.
It has been reported that with this return, Ruth plans to open up about the split.
โThe presenters on Loose Women have a history of opening up about their marriage splits on air and itโs a very supportive environment.
โRuth knows the viewers are heavily invested in her breakup so she will be addressing her and Eamonn for the first time on the show,โ a TV insider told MailOnline.
โThe audience has been there through the highs and the lows of her relationship, she has always been very open and honest and next week will be no differentโฆ she owes it to the viewers to say something.
โShe will be surrounded by the people sheโs closest to on the show and then will be drawing a line under itโฆ she has no plans to do a big interview, this will be the one and only time she speaks.โ
โIโd just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation,โ he said in May, soon after the split was revealed.
โYour support for both of us is very much appreciated.โ
In contrast, Ruth took a break from Loose Women and is yet to address their split.
Reports have suggested that Ruth feels guilty that Eamonnโs health has taken a turn after their break-up.
This comes after the GB News presenter, was seen using a walking aid, claimed he was on โborrowed timeโ and said: โIโm not OK. This is not a good time at all.โ
Some reports have suggested that the split has become nasty as an insider told MailOnline: โRuth took Eamonnโs words as a dig at her. She found it unfair and hurtful.โ
They added: โFriends are worried this is going to get very nasty.โย
As Ruth Langsford prepares to return to Loose Women next week, fans are eagerly anticipating her to address the rumors surrounding her divorce from Eamonn Holmes. The TV insider revealed that Ruth is planning to open up about the split on air, following in the footsteps of other hosts who have shared their personal struggles on the show.
It’s clear that Ruth values the support of the viewers, who have been there for her throughout the highs and lows of her relationship. By addressing the breakup on the show, she is acknowledging the importance of transparency with her audience.
