Prince Harry has been urged to bring the feud with his brother, Prince William, to an end by making the first move.
The siblings have been at loggerheads since Harry left his role as a senior working royal in 2020.ย
He went on to make a number of astonishing claims criticising the royal family, notable his brother.
However, while the dukes remain adrift, a royal expert his urged Harry to stop his โpetulantโ ways and reach out to his older brother.
The advice by Richard Fitzwilliams came as the Duke of Sussex once again publicly blanked a family occasion as William turned 42 last week.ย
The royal author explained how it could be key for Harry to make the first move.
As William continues to deal with the fact that their father, King Charles, has cancer at the same time as his wife, Princess Kate.
Speaking to the Sun, Fitzwilliams said itโs unclear how Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, will respond to the health concerns, saying it would be โhighly insensitiveโ for the pair to throw any more attacks in the direction of the family.
โI think itโs abundantly clear that any rift is undesirable, and when individuals are ill who are involved in it, it makes it even more undesirable,โ he said before saying it would be a โstep in the right directionโ if the Sussexes said something nice about other royals in public.
He went on to say due to Harry being the one to throw digs at his family for the world to see and hear, it would be up to him to try to clear the air first. However, he admitted it was important that both sides noted their own wrongdoing for any repairs to be possible. He claimed it was important the recognise that โrelationships are reciprocalโ.
However, he was concerned that as with any rift, deep mutual mistrust would have formed already.
One way for Prince Harry to possibly mend the feud with his brother, Prince William, is by taking the initiative and making the first move. Despite their differences, it is important for family members to come together, especially during challenging times.
As Prince William deals with their father, King Charles, battling cancer and supporting his wife, Princess Kate, it would be a thoughtful gesture for Harry to reach out and reconcile. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams suggests that it would be a positive step for Harry to put an end to any further attacks on the royal family.
In light of the current health concerns within the family, it would be considerate for the Sussexes to show support and unity by speaking positively about other members of the royal family. By demonstrating a willingness to mend relationships, both sides can acknowledge any past mistakes and work towards reconciliation.
It is essential to remember that relationships are a two-way street, and it may require effort from both parties to rebuild trust and mend a strained bond. Despite the deep mutual mistrust that may have formed, taking the first step towards reconciliation can pave the way for healing and a renewed sense of unity.
