Rylan Clark went back to his natural hair colour and ditched make-up, leaving his fans stunned.
The former X Factor star has become known for his jet-black locks since shooting to fame on the ITV singing competition back in 2012.
ย He has gone on to have an impressive showbiz career, and became a reconisable face on TV.ย
Rylan is known for his dark hair and beard as well as his dazzling white teeth and make-up.
However, the presenter decided to reveal his natural look to fans in a selfie.
ย He looked totally different as he sported red hair, that was cut into a choppy fringe.ย
Alongside the snap, Rylan said: โStripped colour from my hair to give it a reset. For anyone wondering this is what I look like with no colour in and no make uppppp.โ
The star was flooded with compliments as one said: โOh wow. You look fabulous/younger with lighter hair. Really makes your eye colour pop as well. Let the beard colour grow out for the summer too.โ Another added: โCrikey you look so different! You really suit this.โ Someone else commented: โWow, you look great, and so much younger, definitely keep it!โ
Rylanโs celebrity pals also dished out their praise as Loose Womenโs Ruth Langsford urged: โI LOVE this colour! Keep it.โ Presenter Katie Piper simply said: โYouthful,โ followed by a love heart eye emoji. Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison commented: โStill gorgeous.โ Lizzie Cundy wrote: โKeep it ginge! Love you.โ While Jedward teased: โItโs giving Troy Bolton from high school musical ya wild cat.โ
The BBC Radio 2 host burst onto the scene with long, blonde hair on The X-Factor and previously revealed he is a natural red-head. Last year, he shared a snap of himself as he sported a lighter beard, writing: โI MIGHT try natural for a bit.โ In the same thread, he posted a selfie while wearing a green hoodie, baseball cap and a noticeably lighter beard.
Staring confidently into the camera, Rylan had captioned the photo: โBeard shavedโฆ Run out of colourโฆ Ginger for a day.โ He shared another pouting photo, writing: โJust call me ginger spice.โ He once shared how he started dying his hair at the age of 14. He told The Sun: โI always struggled with how I looked growing up.
โAt school I was the little fat ginger kid and used to get picked on. I was quite camp, so the gay thing played its part. I used to start dying my hair at 14.โ The Gogglebox star said he went through a phase of taking botox and fillers โtoo farโ. โDo I sit here and have any regrets? Yes we all have regrets. I would love nothing more than to grow my hair out, stop colouring it, not have to trim my beardโฆbut I created a look that people recognise,โ he said.
Rylan Clark shocked his fans when he decided to go back to his natural hair color and ditch the make-up that he was known for. The former X Factor star, who rose to fame in 2012, had been recognized for his jet-black locks, but he recently revealed a new look in a selfie.
In the selfie, Rylan showed off his natural red hair that was styled into a choppy fringe. This new look was a drastic change from his usual dark hair and beard that fans were accustomed to seeing. The presenter explained that he had stripped the color from his hair as a reset, and also opted to go make-up free for the photo.
His fans were quick to flood the comments with compliments, noting how different and youthful he looked with the lighter hair. Even Rylanโs celebrity friends joined in with the praise, with many encouraging him to keep the new look.
This recent transformation is not the first time Rylan has experimented with his appearance.
