He was told: โWell at least Ruthโs life is a lot easier nowโ
Eamonn Holmes recently shared a health update, revealing he was having difficulty standing unaided. In the comments section, one follower made a hurtful remark about his split from Ruth Langsford.
The GB News presenter has been battling chronic pain for years. Recently, he was seen at an event using a wheelchair and ducked out of hosting his GB News Breakfast Show early due to ill health.
Now, as he attempts to start trying to walk again, one of his followers has posted a cruel comment about how estranged wife Ruth has an โeasier lifeโ without him to care for
Eamonn Holmesโ troll in cruel Ruth Langsford comment
On Sunday (July 7), Eamonn shared a picture of himself standing up and smiling to camera. He captioned it: โHard to stand up but next my aim is to walk. Off to a birthday party today. What about you?โ
The comments section was full of encouraging remarks from fans โ and one horrible one about Ruth.
One woman posted: โWell at least Ruthโs life is a lot easier now.โ
โDonโt be so disrespectfulโ
The dig amassed more than 200 replies from Eamonnโs followers, most of whom were shocked by the comment.
โWas that comment necessary?โ asked one. โNasty,โ said another. โDonโt be so disrespectful,โ another blasted.
โI actually gasped at this comment. What a sad way of life,โ said another. โKeep your negative comments to yourself. Until you have walked in their shoes you have no reason to comment,โ said another. โWhy would you say something so awful? Thereโs no need when someone is struggling with their health,โ said another.
โSo unnecessary and certainly not needed you horrible person. Go and troll someone who gives a [bleep] about your comments,โ said another.
Eamonn does occasionally respond to comments on his Instagram, but hasnโt replied to the woman, who others branded a โkeyboard warriorโ.
It seems like some people just can’t resist being hurtful and disrespectful, even when someone is dealing with health issues. Eamonn Holmes has been open about his struggles with chronic pain, and instead of receiving words of encouragement, he had to face a cruel remark about his estranged wife, Ruth Langsford.
Despite facing challenges with his health, Eamonn has been determined to keep moving forward. In a recent post, he shared his goal of being able to walk again, showing his positive attitude towards his recovery process. However, the hurtful comment about Ruth’s life being “easier” without him was completely uncalled for.
It’s disheartening to see how some individuals feel the need to bring others down, especially during a difficult time. Eamonn’s followers were quick to defend him and criticize the inappropriate comment, highlighting the need for more kindness and empathy on social media.
Let’s spread positivity and support for those who are facing challenges, instead of resorting to negativity and hurtful remarks. Remember, a little kindness can go a long way in making someone’s day a little brighter.
