In the lead-up to her performance in the Legends slot, fans had been dressing up in colourful carnival costumes and even donning cowboy hats as they sang along to her lyrics. Another lamented: “I love her – I don’t want to be underwhelmed.” However, she was passionately defended by someone else, who argued: “Anyone saying bad things about Shania needs to wind their neck in. The queen performed. After seeing her last year in London she can still give it her all #Glastonbury.”

The comments come just hours after fans pointed out that ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ star Cyndi Lauper and Coldplay crooner Chris Martin also appeared to have been battling issues.
