Tom Cruise was in good spirits as he led the stars watching Coldplay headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday in the swanky VIP area. 

The actor, 61, reunited with his Mission Impossible co-star Simon Pegg, 54, to watch the legendary band. 

The pair were spotted chatting away to Sex Education actress Gillian Anderson as they watched Coldplay perform from a VIP balcony.  

The Top Gun star cut a smart figure in a black open collar shirt while Simon rocked a white T-shirt with a navy jacket and a baseball cap. 

Meanwhile Gillian opted for a checked brown blazer and styled her long blonde tresses in a neat ponytail.

The British band, fronted by Chris Martin, 47, made their debut at the iconic festival in the New Bands Tent in 1999, before headlining in 2002, 2005, 2011, and 2016. 

The Back To The Future actor, 63, who is battling Parkinson’s, appeared on stage in his wheelchair as he played the guitar. 

Kicking off fifteen minutes late the group opened their historic set with 2000 hit Yellow as the sea of festival goers joined in singing.  

Elsewhere during the show fans branded the band’s set as ‘epic’ as they brought out rapper Little Simz to debut a new single. 

Taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm, the legendary band surprised festival goers by bringing out the British rapper. 

The new track which is reportedly called Supernova featured the chorus lyrics repeating, ‘and so we pray’. 

Fans rushed to X – formerly known as Twitter – to say the surprise cameo from Little Simz took Coldplay’s set ‘to a whole new level’.

After the camera searched the crowd, the frontman serenaded Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, before the beloved Hollywood actor was revealed to the audience.

Chris sung: ‘Here is another legendary Michael, one who just totally rocks, with his chuck Berry quiff and the way he punched [Back To The Future villain] Biff, ladies and Gentleman please welcome Michael J.Fox’.

The actor, who is an avid musician, was first diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s at just 30 years of age in 1991, before revealing the news publicly in 1998.

Two years after going public with his diagnosis, Fox created The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000.

Since then, the foundation – which he founded with his wife of 36 years, Tracy Pollan – has raised over $2 billion for Parkinson’s research.

Viewers were left in ‘tears’ following his surprise appearance as he joined the group in a rendition of their hit Fix You. 

The show was watched by a whopping crowd of 100,000 and viewers at home were left stunned by the huge audience and branded it the festival’s ‘biggest ever’. 

Headlining this year’s festival are Coldplay on Saturday night, SZA on Sunday night, and Dua Lipa who performed on Friday night. 

Shania Twain, 58, will play on Sunday in the late afternoon, and she opened up about how she is preparing.

Tom’s appearance comes just one week after he was seen dancing in the VIP tent at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with her boyfriend Travis Kelce 

The Top Gun: Maverick actor was among an A-list lineup of guests, including Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Hugh Grant, at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.

Social media clips from the concert showed the Chiefs player embracing the actor, as the pair smiled and laughed while Taylor performed.

At one point, during the 14-time Grammy winner’s performance of Blank Space, the Kansas City tight end put his hands on the Mission Impossible star’s shoulders and whispered something in his ear.

Tom appeared to be in high spirits as he traded friendship bracelets with Swifties at the performance.
